What the threshold means for a supplier
- Above the threshold the tender is published in the EU's TED database as well as a Swedish database. Companies from the whole EU can bid, the buyer must accept the ESPD and minimum deadlines apply, usually 30 days or more.
- Below the threshold the national rules in chapter 19 of LOU apply. The tender is only published in Swedish databases and the deadline must be reasonable.
- Below the direct award limit of SEK 700,000 no advertising is required. See direct awards.
Most Swedish tenders are below the threshold, so watching only TED misses most of them. See finding tenders.
